Carole Litchko Obituary

Carole Ann (Laga) Litchko passed away following a very long and courageous battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Parkinson’s Disease. Carole Ann has joined her husband Donald Litchko in heaven, and is survived by four children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren: Brian Litchko (Tiffany); grandsons Jackson and Aidan of Mansfield, Texas. Johanna Barnes (Brian); grandchildren Kara, Meghan and Kyle of Arlington, Texas. Laura Hash (Richard); grandchildren Joshua, Zachary and Benjamin of Mansfield Texas. And son Lucas of Conway, New Hampshire. She is further survived by the families of two sisters and a brother: Diana Yow and husband David, Sandra Lee and husband Jim, and David Laga and wife Emilie; and many kind nieces and nephews. Carole was a devoted and loving wife and mother; and when in better health, a talented artist who donated paintings to many charities. She enjoyed sewing and once hand stitched a twelve-hundred-piece queen size quilt. She was a former Catholic Daughters Regent and volunteered as a historical narrator for various White Mountain National Forest exhibits. Carole will best be remembered for her love of children – Never was there a baby that she could pass by without exclaiming “How beautiful.” Any donations made to Mother Seton House, PO Box 673, Fryeburg, Maine, 04037, or Visiting Nurse Home Care & Hospice of Carroll County, in her memory would please her. So many doctors, nurses, and caregivers worked hard over the years to manage her pains and keep her comfortable; and many friends continued to call and care even when the illnesses sometimes made communication difficult. Our family is most appreciative of each and every one of you. Brian, Johanna, and Laura want to extend a special thank you to Lucas for his dedication and loving care of our mom during the final weeks of her life. We are forever grateful. A mass of Christian burial for Carole will be held By Furber Funeral home and cremation services at 1pm on Thursday, March 7 at Our Lady of the Mountains in North Conway, NH. Burial will be in Windsor, New York later this year..
